Reading to dogs
We Love Dogs “reading to dogs” programme provides a relaxed, non-judgemental atmosphere for children to practice their reading skills. Children are less self-conscious as they are not being judged by their canine friend. Reading to dogs can also decrease stress that a child could normally feel reading to teachers, parents or in front of their classmates.
We Love Dogs will run this programme in libraries, schools and even in private homes if suitable.
All dogs that participate in this programme have been assessed by a Certified IAABC Dog Behaviour Consultant as suitable for the task. Yes, to lie there and dozily listen to a story does require a certain skill set.
