The We Love Dogs Charitable Trust purpose is to enhance the lives of dogs, their owners and the community.
Liaising with and respecting the views of all stakeholders within the dog community.
Inspiring people to reach their full potential with respect to dog ownership, working cooperatively and alongside other organisations within the canine community.
Seeking and facilitating the wellbeing of dogs - to rehome, foster and seek adoptive forever homes as the need presents itself.
We promote every dog being de-sexed, registered, microchipped and vaccinated.
We have a rigorous application process for re-homing, fostering and adoptions and fully staffed by volunteers.
The trust seeks to develop outreach programmes that include "Reading to Dogs" ( to assist children or adults develop reading skills), a K9 Cuddles programme where dogs can be involved with improving the wellbeing of groups (eg Senior citizens, rest homes, hospice etc) and providing training programmes on being a responsible dog owner.
Being an advocate and developing other programmes and resources within the community where dogs are seen as a valuable and contributing factor in the wellbeing of the greater community. Developing relationships and sharing resources with other like minded charitable organisations sharing the same vision and purpose.
For all those waiting for an update on Stella-Bella, we can now officially say she is with her new family and about to begin her new life!🥰🥰🥰🥰
Stella-Bella was picked early this morning from the pound, enjoyed a lovely day spa treatment and lots of cuddles with Aims and Krys & then traveled with Denis to her new home. We are just overwhelmed with excitement for this new chapter for Stella-Bella.
This amazing outcome which essentially saved Stella-Bella's life was only made possible by an amazing team of people that all played a part in helping this dream come true 🙌🙌🙌🙌
Thank you to Tania at Love Thy Dog and Tracey at Naki Paws who put in the training with Stella-Bella that also enabled her to be comfortable & happy wearing a muzzle, this was so important and makes a world of difference. Thank you to the New Plymouth District Council & the pound who agreed to work alongside us with Stella-Bella and trusted us to find this gorgeous girl the home she needed & deserved, your collaboration enabled us to give Stella-Bella another chance and we are so grateful for that. Thank you to Cheryl at Cheryl Trust Practitioner NZ, who has agreed to volunteer her time to work with Stella-Bella's new family to help Stella-Bella settle into their new home, surroundings and adapt to her new family. Thank you to her new family, who have opened up their heart and home to take Stella-Bella into their lives, we are so happy she has you guys to call her new family! Lastly thank you to everyone who has followed, shared, and believed in Stella-Bella's story and helped us get the word out there, without this, we may not have found that special home, so thank you from the bottom of our hearts ❤❤❤❤
We are thrilled with this outcome for Stella-Bella, it has been a long time coming but we know that she is safe now. Stella-Bella's resilience from all that she has been through in her short life is incredible! She is one special girl and now has a special family to call her own.
